Shelly Augsbury
Shelly is a versatile individual with a background in teaching, copywriting, illustrating, and marketing. Her teaching experiences with children span various art centers and schools, including the Indian Rocks Art Center, Suntan Art Center, Northport Art Center, Shore Crest Prep, and Montessori by the Sea. Shelly has completed the DCF training for children.
As an adjunct professor, she taught graduate students, bringing her expertise to a higher level of academia. Shelly's passion for education extends beyond traditional settings, as she volunteers to read her books via Zoom at All Children's Hospital and Glazier Children's Museum.
Shelly is also an accomplished author and illustrator, having created six books in the Okalani the Octopus series for young children. Her books have garnered attention from major news outlets, including Fox News, ABC Action News, and Spectrum News.
In the realm of marketing, Shelly has excelled as a Creative Director and marketing professional, earning 12 Addys from the American Advertising Federation for her copywriting skills.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Shelly engages in various creative activities, including large-scale acrylics, watercolors, and mixed media. In her free time she enjoys golf, biking, horseback riding and hanging out with her dogs Pickles and Boomer.
Availability: Shelly is available every day of the week in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
