“Art Club classes have helped my daughter process her experiences and deal with emotions especially during the Pandemic!

I love seeing and discussing her final beautiful creations after every lesson and I love the fact that she is understanding through art that there is more than one approach to everything.”

R.D. – Art Club parent

Art enrichment on your schedule

Enjoy the classes from the comfort of your home. Every Monday you get a new lesson. Choose from quick and easy lessons at the kitchen table, and longer lessons that dive deep into the elements of art.

“We are loving the kids being exposed basic art principles like how you showed them to incorporate movement and emotion, shadow and hi light, rough sketches of the figure’s movement/shape before the details. So awesome. We also love your examples of your art and what your able to do with it.

You have an unbelievable ability of tailoring projects and concepts for this super young age.”

-Robyn D., parent of student

You can cancel anytime you'd like. When you sign up, you will be charged a monthly recurring fee. If you sign up on April 28 you will be billed each month on the 28th day. If you cancel, you must do so 5 days before the next billing date. Plus, when you join, you have seven days to decide if Art Club is for you. Whatever price you begin your membership with, is the price that you will pay for the lifetime of your continuous membership! If you leave the Art Club and come back you will pay the current price of the subscription.

If Art Club is not a good fit for your family, email us within 7 days of joining, and we will refund you in full, whether you join on a monthly basis or yearly basis.

What ages is Art Club for?

7-12 years old. However, some six-year-olds that have very good fine motor skills will benefit from the lessons. Many of the lessons will be engaging for kids older than 12, and adults will enjoy doing the lessons alongside their child!

Do you provide the materials for the class?

Starter packs are available from Pop up Art School. You get the basics you need to get started with our projects, such as canvas boards, acrylic paint, brushes, Crayola air dry clay, drawing supplies, origami paper and other art goodies. The starter pack is $40 plus $15 shipping in the United States.

You are welcome to use supplies you already have. When you join, you'll have access to a comprehensive list of materials needed for our lessons.

If I use my own materials, how will I know what I need?

Each project comes with a downloadable PDF with a detailed materials list and written outline of the project. In addition, we show the materials needed at the beginning of each video. For live lessons, you’ll receive a list of materials a week before the project is scheduled. In the welcome area, there's a comprehensive list of the materials needed for all of our projects.

How long are the lessons?

You'll have access to lessons of differing time lengths. If you want something quick and easy with a minimum of materials, choose our 15 minute origami tutorials. Drawing tutorials are a bit longer, and use basic materials like a pencil and markers. Painting and clay projects are usually 45 to 60 minutes long.

Once a month, we'll teach a private live lesson, exclusive to members, via Zoom. The lesson will be 45 minutes to an hour long. A recording of the lesson will be available in the member’s area.

Who teaches the lessons?
Pop up Art School is a two-person team of certified art teachers. Janell Scannell and Lisa Walker. They have taught thousands of children in their public library art classes, afterschool enrichment and have been Art Specialists in public and private school settings.

I don't know anything about art.

We are here to help you provide art enrichment for your child and to give you the support you need! Every week you'll receive an email with suggestions, tips and tricks. You can email us anytime or post in our private family Facebook group.

What does curated content mean?

Every month we will present you with the work of a contemporary artist. The artists have agreed to let us use their name and images in conjunction with our lessons. The images will be chosen with care, so that there is no profanity or nudity. We cannot guarantee that the artist's previous or future work does not, or will not, have profanity or nudity, but the images we show to your children will be carefully screened.

I don't have a Facebook account.

That's okay! You don't need one. The private Facebook community provides another place where we can notify parents of upcoming events. We also send out a weekly email that contains the same notifications, so you won't miss a thing.
