Janell Scannell is a graduate of the Pratt Institute in New York. Janell is a licensed visual arts teacher. She previously worked at an art teacher at Weymouth Public Primary Schools and the Duval School in Whitman. Additionally she has worked as a professional illustrator and graphic designer for 20 years.

Lisa Walker is a graduate of the Massachusetts School of Art in Boston. She is the K-8 art teacher for Sacred Heart School in Weymouth, MA. She also owns an online vintage store called Pink Elephants Retro.

Both Janell and Lisa taught The Big Mess, a multi sensory preschool art class, at Tufts Library in Weymouth, for four years. Previously, they directed and produced the show Creative Kids, as seen on WETC, in Weymouth.
